Authentic People Blog Party!

Hello, hello, hello (Count Olaf/Jim Carrey voice) ;) I'm Maria--a daughter of the King. People who don't know me say I'm shy. I'm just normally quiet around them. I have 5 siblings. I love music, movies, books and life. Writing has never come naturally to me--I've always had to work hard at writing papers, short stories, etc. That is partly why I blog. My older sister, Hannah, has had a blog for a while and I thought it would be fun to have one too. It was also sort of a school assignment from my Mom. (I have been homeschooled ever since I started school) So. That is why I blog. :)
I have been following Abigail's blog for a while now and I really enjoy it! I thought it would be super fun to join in her blog party! (I've never actually been in a blog party before!) So yea. Anyway, on to the questions...

1} What's the nerdiest/geekiest/weirdest thing about you?
Well, I'm not sure...I have a thing for music and I tend to get rather excited when I order a new CD and/or when I listen to it. Haha.

2} If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, movie, or television show, what would it be?  Oh, It would be either Middle Earth (LOVE) or Walnut Grove. Considering the fact that Walnut Grove was destroyed, I guess my answer would have to be Middle Earth. But I still am and always will be in love with Walnut Grove. (from the 70's TV show Little House on the Prairie)

3} Little or big, practical or frivolous, what is one of your favorite items in your house?  Just one of my favorite items would be my Dad's espresso machine. ;)
4} Do you like animated movies? If so, what is your favorite? Oh yes, I love animated movies! I love anything from Pixar and all the Toy Story movies! :) And Tangled is SO CUTE!

5} What is your favorite household chore?  Hmmm....I suppose folding laundry. Well, no. I think I like cleaning the best. When no-one is there. Does cooking count as a household "chore"? Because I love to cook! ;)

6} What's your favorite thing to get at Starbucks (or your favorite coffee shop)?  Oh wow. Ha I'll take anything from Starbucks! But I love the Peppermint mochas!!!!!!!! And white mochas ;)

7} What is your favorite pizza topping? As long as there is sauce and cheese on it, I don't really care. Anything goes. Wierd, huh?

8} Waffles or pancakes? Waffles! I love waffles.

9} Do you like to play games? If so, what is your favorite?  Yea games are fun! My family and I like to play Chinese Checkers. So much fun!

10} Have you ever let anyone win a game? Ha! No, because I'm hardly ever a winner anyway ;)

11} Have you ever dyed your hair?  No, but I think it would be fun to get highlights sometime.

12} Do you make your bed every morning?  It totally depends on my mood.

13} Picasso or Norman Rockwell?  Norman Rockwell. I have always enjoyed his paintings, although I'm not exactly sure why.  This is my favorite painting of his. So sweet!

14} Do you like carpet, tile, or hardwood floors?  Hardwood all the way. Goodness, I hate carpet. lol

15} If you could put one thing in a safe under your bed, what would it be? My journals and/or my little things that hold a lot of memories for me. =P

16} What's your favorite condiment? Oh I don't know...mustard?

17} Have you ever thrown up on someone (excluding when you were a child)? Ok, I really don't think so. If I did though, I thankfully don't recall it!

18} What was the last thing that made you laugh? A cheesy movie that I only watched because I love the star.

19} Think fast...what's the first song that pops into your head? Going Home by Mary Fahl. SUCH a beautiful song!

I get excited when I recieve a CD as well! Usually I do not purchase CDs since I get the majority of my music from iTunes. And an espresso machine?! Goodness, I am a *tad* bit jealous.

Have a lovely day!

For some reason I can't leave comments on my blog right now (it's broken!) so I'm replying here. :)

Yes, Gotham. If it means I can see Bruce Wayne, then yes. Haha. But I wouldn't decline a nice little hobbit hole in the Shire. <3

Yeah, usually I'm just a cheese on my pizza person but if I have to choose a topping, it's pineapple.

I've never actually read Cyrano de Bergerac. (though I should) The quote is one I found online and wrote down in my quote book.

I love white mochas also. And dang. Now you've got me wanting a Peppermint mocha. *plans a trip to the local coffee kiosk*

Oh, ok I understand now!!! About Bruce Wayne, I mean. lol :DDD Ooh! a quote book! "I gotta get me one of those!" haha lol yea, I got myself wanting a peppermint mocha lol

I am the same way with music! I think I get a little to excited when a favorite band comes out with a new CD. I probably scare people...
And white mocha's are DELISH. Oh my goodness. Simple, but so tasty!

Have a great day!

I enjoyed your answers. I LOVE Little House...(Hated the last one when they blew up the town though!)

Okay, so I just have to say you made me want to read the rest of you post just by saying hello like Count Olaf/Jim Carrey! My brother and I really enjoy watching that movie together! (Though, the rest of our family doesn’t understand why we like it so much.)

I agree with you about Pixar movies! They are so good!

I really enjoyed reading your post and look forward to looking around your blog.

Awesome post! That makes two of us moving to Middle Earth. ;) Where would you live, with the hobbits, elves, men or dwarves? I'd want to live in Hobbiton or Lothlorien. :)

And that painting is really cute, I can see why you like it! :) My favorite painting, though, is "Young Woman in a Boat" by James Tissot. :)

maria said...

Thanks, taylor! Oh it's super hard to decide!!!! Either hobbitton or Rohan. And then there's Gondor. I can say for sure I wouldn't live w/ the dwarves, though! ;)Ahhh I love LOTR!! :) I havent seen that Norman Rockwell painting yet. I'll have to google it:)

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Rohan is definitely awesome, too. I just love Lady Eowyn! :D But I'd prefer to live with hobbits or elves, haha. No dwarves, it'd be terrible to be underground all the time! ;) And men... well, they're not as interesting. ;) Haha!
